Evidence above authority.
A factual claim needs a source and an honest account of its certainty. Time-tested is not the same as proven. We give you the means to check.
More than one reasoned view.
On questions of family, meaning and values, there may be no single right answer. We show different reasoned positions and leave the choice to you.
Humility and cultural respect.
We separate broadly relevant knowledge from findings that depend on a culture, population or context. The language of a page does not define where its readers live.
Openness and the right to doubt.
Sources, funding and mistakes should be visible. Disagreement is welcome. Principles matter more than personalities; the project is intended to outlive its founder.
